Student Life

At Rhea County Academy, we believe education goes beyond the classroom. Student life is full of opportunities for growth, service, and fun. From athletics to community service, clubs, and field trips, students are encouraged to discover their gifts and use them to make a difference.

RCA Opportunities

Athletics

RCA offers a variety of sports each year, giving students the chance to develop teamwork, discipline, and school spirit. Sports typically include baseball, flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and cheer.

Community Involvement

We are committed to teaching students the importance of serving others. Twice a year, the entire school spends a day giving back to the local community—helping those in need and learning the value of service.

Clubs

Students have the opportunity to get involved in activities outside the classroom. RCA students are active in the local 4-H club, participating in speech and poster contests as well as archery, BB, and air rifle events.

Field Trips

Hands-on learning is an important part of the RCA experience. Every grade takes at least two field trips a year, with destinations ranging from farms and college drama productions to local artisans and businesses. Parents will receive details and permission forms prior to each trip.
