Warriors Baseball team wins National Title

The baseball Warriors secured an improbable NACA Div. III National Championship with an 8-5 win on May 9th versus Landmark Christian (OH).  The Warriors secured victories vs. Hope Christian, AL (4-3) and Maryville Christian, TN (7-5) on the first day of the tournament but had fallen on the second day of the tournament to Landmark Christian, OH (6-18).  The Warriors entered the title game as significant underdogs but were able to jump out to a 6-0 lead behind timely hitting and stellar pitching by Tyler Ray.  The Eagles were able to mount a comeback in the late innings but the Warriors defense came through with some great plays to keep the Eagles from completing their comeback.
